A while back I had brought my first elf product that happened to be the satin eyeliner. My experience with the eyeliner was great overall so this led me to purchase another elf product, it happened to be the elf smooth and set eye powder.
Of course I didn’t just randomly pick it up as firstly I needed an eye powder and secondly there were some features that really spoke to me when reading the description.
And it’s those features that I’m going to be going through to see how true they are and obviously the aspects that I think would make the product even better in my opinion if they were improved.
This eye powders main aim is to ‘help camouflage fine lines and wrinkles‘ and any other under eye imperfections.

- Affordable pricing
- Smooth and soft formula
- Good to use for under eye
- Small packaging
- Could do with better coverage
What’s best about it?
My first impression without opening it was how small the product was. It was tiny! This made me hope, my slightly first bad impression would change when I try it. And I can tell you it did for the good.
What happens when you don’t get enough sleep or as you age? Dark circles and other under eye imperfections start to appear. And that’s when products like this are here to help.
So what was good about this product?
Okay so I don’t have visible dark circles yet. But on the corners of my eye just below. I have noticeably dark patch for some reason (I think it’s from the way I rest my face on my arm) so that’s where I decided to apply the powder.
At first I was wondering if it’s even possible to cover the small mark due to its sheer powder look but as I continued dabbing it on I was able to thankfully hide my problem. It actually hid away the spludge or whatever it is.
From my experience it’s best applied using a small brush or your fingers.
If you’re having similar problems and are looking for a affordable price worthy product then go for it this definitely did the job for me.
What about wrinkles?
If your wanting to use this on your wrinkles, it’s also still quite an effective item to have(obviously it’s made for that reason).
I used this on my auntie, under her eye and a little above and it nicely settled it, banishing the wrinkles.
One thing I can tell you not to do is if you have wrinkles don’t add too much powder as I’ve noticed it does start to crease especially if using concealer.
A little goes a long way with this one. No wonder it’s packed small!
I did try it on the upper lid to set eyeshadow but it didn’t work as good for me as it did with the under eye.
The eyeshadow just didn’t come out smoothly, there were patches,So I think I’ll stick with the under eye.
Another thing I like about it is the smoothness it leaves when you’ve applied it. It feels smooth and soft to the touch.
I’ve read a few reviews where people are complaining about the sparkle, it may look like a significant amount but if you apply the right amount and blend it, it’s not as noticeable as you’d expect. Adds a nice shine to the face.
Once you’ve applied it the product is visible in a good way. In the way that it brightens your eye, definitely concealing imperfections that your not happy with.
The product itself lasted a good few hours and after only required a few touch ups but nothing major.
Worth buying again?
I most certainly would buy this again but what would make this even more pleasing is if it was available in a bigger size. It’s a great product and does exactly as it says, hiding imperfections.
This powder is superb for oily to combination skin, that’s not to say dry skin peeps won’t benefit from this. If you don’t try, you won’t know.
Although the size is small, if you are using a gentle amount you’d be pleased to know it doesn’t run out as fast. The price is explainable even with the amount of product thanks to the quality.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
I’ve seen you mention this brand before and I have to say that I’ve been impressed with what I’ve read.
While the aim of most under-eye makeup is to smooth out the skin tone, I’ve yet to see any that actually minimize fine lines and wrinkles. The fact that this product does is a reason enough to buy it. But add to that the fact that you only need a little (saves money) and that it’s vegan and cruelty-free? Amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience with this and I am definitely going to order it!
You are totally welcome Cynthia!
I like looking at elf products every now and then as I know they always have something affordable on offer and so when something does catch my eyes, I can easily purchase it without hesitation!
Thanks for sharing this very well written, interesting and informative artcle review with us. Not that i am into make-o myyself, but as my girlfriend lives her make up, i find articles like these very useful. They can also be quite inspiring as to what products to buy her as a present as i personally have not a clue where to start.
starting to find a product which you know nothing about can be confusing however you can begin with looking at what your girlfriend is into and the go on from there maybe, just suggesting.
Elf smooth and set eye powder sounds very promising after reading your review. I know as a person gets older, a person’s age begin to show more. So a person wants to hide those signs through make up. Is Elf smooth and set powder available worldwide or just available in certain countries?

And yes elf is available in a wide range of countries including US, Canada, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Japan, China, Singapore, India and much more! They ship to all these countries!
The elf eye powder sound great. I always like a new eye powder or makeup to add to my collection, especially one that camaflages wrinkles and dark circles. I will definately try this one when I have have got some money.
I love how it’s cruely free and vegan. I hope it is available in the UK, as sounds like a great eye powder to try.
Thanks for sharing
Hey Jenny, thanks for stopping by!
Sure elf smooth and set eye powder is available in the uk, getting something new to try or to add in the collection is always a nice feeling but of course that’s if we have money to spare!
I am 35 and I started to have some wrinkled beside my eyes while smiling, not too much but very minor.
in my opinion this a great way to hide this wrinkle.
Is this ok to use for male and female?
I am using skin care products, is there any problem using it? Because I can not use many types of skin products or powder, once I used a cream on my forehead, it made lots of pimples just after one week.
Hey Moses the stopping by!
Of course anyone can use these products! And as for the suitability on your skin, I wouldn’t be too sure, though elf is a usually good brand for sensitive skin types, which I’m guessing is the type you have. You can do a small patch test beforehand to avoid any irritation.
Look out for products that are free from strong fragrances and chemicals! You can take a look at some awesome vegan natural brands by tapping here!
Hope it helps!
