      Thanks for the comment!

Sensitive skin can seem hard to look after but thankfully there are many products catered towards us peeps! Products free from things such as alcohol and fragrance as well as other junks tend to be kind with delicate skin, so I suggest looking out for items free from these to ensure our skins will love them and not react in a bad way.

I don’t personally wear make up but I remember my girlfriend talking very much in depth about primer in hell there are different kinds of primers that go on sensitive skin versus skin that may not be so sensitive. She actually did my make up one time because she wanted to just do it for fun. I definitely know from what she told me that they are specific primers to be used for sensitive skin and I appreciate this article for Educating me more on that

    • Sariyah

hi Misael! Thanks for the comment!

There sure are different primer types, there are types made specifically to target various skin types as well as the types of form they come in, such as spray, gel, cream and so much more!

I have dry and sensitive skin and it is a problem for me, it is hard to find the right cosmetics for it. Thank you for sharing this article, I may try this Juice beauty primer. I love the fact it’s made from recyclable materials, it is very important for me. I am in love with eco-friendly products. Natural ingredients are the key to healthy skin. Other products are also looking good.

I also have sensitive skin, a mixed type, and I am constantly trying new products and looking for a suitable one that would suit my skin. I am currently using a moisturizer for sensitive skin with green tea extract, but I am not the most satisfied.
I like the presentation of these products in your article. I was fascinated by the coconut skin smoothie priming moisturizer because it’s a 2 in 1, and Elf soothing face primer.
Thanks for presenting these best primer for sensitive skin, I will consider buying.
    Friendly greeting,
    Nina

    Hi Sariyah,

Thanks for sharing this post. I did not get used to wearing make up. It did not permit me ,as wearing make up is a no – no to food safety. I  worked for almost 3 decades as a food technologist .

But now that I am home and no longer at the young age, I  am considering to wear make up, especially when bonding with my sisters who love boosting ourselves when we meet and fill our hearts with laughter.

My daughter is just applying make up to me and never explaining. I have a sensitive skin and you just enlighten me on how to take proper care with my skin when wearing make up. I personally prefer the coconut skin smoothie  priming moisturizer.

    • Sariyah

Oh that sounds like fun! Glad this post was a help, identifying your skin type as well as taking care of it in the correct manner is important to ensure your skin looks it’s best in the long run!

      Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, thanks for this article on the best primer for sensitive skin. For me I think the use of natural or organic products for skin care is a very good recommendation not only for those with sensitive skin but even for those without, because using anything with harsh chemicals in it is not good for your body’s health, that just my opinion but great article.

    • Sariyah

Hey nedia, thanks for the comment! Yeh your right, natural or organic ingredients are great for everyone not only sensitive skin peeps!

  • Parameter

Thank you for this solution to skin issues. I have tried quite a number of skin primers but to no avail. My skin is usually dry and gets easily irritable when moisturised. Going through your list, I will give first aid beauty coconut skin smoothie moisturiser a trial. Seeing that it takes care of dryness, smoothens and hydrates the skin. I will be glad to lay a feed back after using it

    • Sariyah

      Hey thanks for stopping by!

I can relate, when your skin doesn’t get along with the products you think are going to be cool, it’s totally annoying. Oh feedback would be awesome!

  • LineCowley

This is a very helpful post on what is the best primer for sensitive skin. I do not use primer on a daily basis, only when I attend special events on high days and holidays. This is most probably because I often find that my pores get blocked and I almost feel as if my skin cannot breathe properly. This could be because I am not using the correct products for my sensitive skin, so I will explore your recommendations.

    • Sariyah

      Hi line,

As you said it could be you are using incorrect products for your sensitive skin or maybe also your skin could be more on the oily side which means you are most likely to get clogged pores. Try products with no oils and see the results.

      Thanks for the comment.

  • Cogito

Hi Sariyah. Thank you for another great review. I was testing multiple primers form different companies and to be fair I wasn’t always happy with results. But products from your post looks really great. Especially Inika primer looks perfect to my skin, and as its vegan I can use it without remorse. Looking forward to test it in practise.

    • Sariyah

      Hi thanks for the comment!

If you do give them a go, I’d love to know how your experiences went! By the way I’m yet to try the inika primer, maybe sooner than later.

  • Kwidzin

Well well well. What can i say? I cant really say that this is information that i could apply to myself as make up doesnt really go too well with a beard. But it has been an interesting article to read all the same i must say. I’ll pass this on to my partner as she absolutelky loves make up and stuff like that.

  • Shalisha Alston

Thanks for this timely post. It’s winter now, and my skin is super sensitive. It always gets dry and irritated. I, like you, am scared to put anything on my face. I cannot use products with heavy fragrance or harsh chemicals. In fact, I don’t even wear foundation anymore. But I do like serums. I like the Ordinary product. I like the idea that it has no alcohol in it as that dries me out. Serums tend to be gentle on my skin, and the price, is definitely affordable. I think I’ll stay make up free and only use primer serums on my face.

    • Sariyah

      You are totally welcome Shalisha!

I get what you mean, winter definitely makes the skin even more dry, and alcohol is known to add to the aggravation.

As for staying makeup free that’s totally up to you however don’t let sensitive skin be the reason to put an end to something which you might enjoy. There are many awesome products out there to cater for our skin needs! You can check out foundations made specifically for delicate skin by clicking here!

OMG, I am so glad I came across this makeup article. I have had issues with sensitive skin for a while now, and getting make up that doesn’t cause itchiness is very difficult. So I had to be on a hunt to find something. Then I came across this article, which I found to really help me. I really liked the foundation and primer on the article. I am going to go out and buy these right away.

  • Bethel

I am going to try one of these primers. I may go for the last one -Bare mineral blemish rescue primer. Since my last primer finished I have bought fake twice and I gave up on primers. Or will I say I have never come across brand I can trust. I have a dry and sensitive skin and it has been difficult to see my skin match.

I will give this a try and hope it will work for me this time.

    • Sariyah

Hey Bethel thanks for stopping by!

I get what you mean, with primers not staying true to their words it’s hard to trust what a product states especially when you have been let down many times!

Fingers crossed this will be the one!

  • Anusuya

It is an important and sufficiently detailed post for choosing a primer for your sensitive skin.

It is very important to clarify that the product doesn’t contain toxic chemicals like paraben, phthalate, or formaldehyde.

I like the eco-friendliness of some products along with those made from natural sources.

There are great choices to pick and choose from.

Personally, I don’t use anything on my face bought from the market. I am scared always as you have described in the beginning. I have wrinkles now and should care for those now.

  • angelce903

Sensitive skin is very difficult to handle. You must pay attention to the ingredients and be mindful of what you put on your skin. Otherwise, you’ll have the worst unwanted reactions! I really enjoyed your list of primers, especially The Ordinary Primer that I tried and I’m very satisfied with it. I didn’t even know that Juice Beauty brands still existed! So, I’ve learnt something new with you. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried the other primers but I keep them in my list now…
