I have to agree with you in that having a great neutral palette of eyeshadows to work with is probably amongst the most versatile. You just can’t go wrong with browns or greys. They work for every color of eye and skin tone.
Every once in a while I will splurge on a shadow with more bold colors. But then after the impulse passes, I always go back to using my neutral shadows. They’re my steady, dependable palette. And it’s great how you can just build on the greys or browns to build a whole new look.
I’m a big fan of NYX eyeshadows as they have great lasting power. However, I can’t always get the shades I like as they get sold out quickly. Now learning about some of these other great options, I’ll have to give them a try. Thanks for the suggestions!
