Why this foundation for the dry skin population? Well let me tell you then.

This foundation contains coconut water which as you know hydrates the skin and another special ingredient is hyaluronic acid which helps retain moisture, that way the moisture is trapped and has nowhere to go. Woohaahaaa!

Fenty beauty pro filt’r hydrating longwear foundation

The pro filt’r hydrating foundation is actually created after fans demanded a more special formula than the original pro filt’r soft matte foundation.

This Fenty beauty hydrating longwear foundation leaves your skin ‘instantly smooth with a shiny finish’.

And guess what’s even cooler, its made with ‘climate adaptive technology’ so you don’t have to worry about sweat and humidity or clogged pores!

Finding the best full coverage foundation for dry skin can be a challenge, but it’s definitely not impossible. A lot of it depends on the type of dry skin you have. For example, if you have very dry skin, you’ll want to look for a foundation that contains hydrating ingredients like glycerin or shea butter.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most foundations are made with mineral oil, which can actually worsen the appearance of dry skin. So if you’re having trouble finding a foundation that works for you, try looking for one that’s oil-free. And finally, don’t forget to apply a moisturizer before applying your foundation – this will help give your makeup something to cling to and will help your foundation stay on longer.

Dry skin is the worst. My partner is always complaining that her skin is dry but she loves to put on makeup so I will be sure to share this article with her. Hopefully, it will be able to help her out. I will be sure to purchase this product for her and I will let you know how her skin reacts to it.

    • Sariyah

      Hey Aubin,

Dry skin sure can be annoying, is she staying hydrated, water can do wonders to your skin, trust me, I didn’t believe at first but now I’ve noticed it definitely gives your skin that beautiful glow and of course hydration!

Oh I would love to know how your partner and her skin get along with the foundation!

It has been hard for me to find vegan makeup for my dry skin and I have tried different ones. Your list has been helpful and think I am going to with the Charlotte Airbrush foundation due to the other benefits added. Inika however looks and sounds promising as well, I just might go ahead and buy 2 different brands. I have bookmarked your website and shared it on social media.

    • Sariyah

Hey Jannette thanks for the comment and of course the share too!

The Charlotte Tilbury foundation is great if you want that airbrush finish and struggle with large pores, if you are after a product with healthy ingredients as well as a suitability for sensitive skin then inika would definitely be great there, but of course there is then a option of purchasing both like you said!

My skin is so dry and very sensitive and for that reason i do not make up.

One of my female colleague always screws me for this but i fear because i can really look scary with an irritated skin, I appreciate your ideas because since i read and implemented the things you recommend, i see a difference.

    • Sariyah

Hey Ann thanks for the comment!

WOW that’s great it worked out for you and as for your irritated skin, you shouldn’t be made to feel like that, everyone’s skin is different but if it’s something like am irritated skin, you can usually easily resolve the issue by finding out what exactly is upsetting your skin.

      Thanks again Ann!

Some great resources for people with dry skin. I also have dry skin, especially in winter and I find that it definitely helps to moisturize well and then use a serum and a primer underneath the foundation, and this helps it not cake up on my face.

It also helps to regularly exfoliate the dead skin off your face, as if the surface of your skin is smoother, the makeup sits on it better.

    • Sariyah

      Hey Michel,

That’s some good tips! In winter dry skin gets worser for some reason, probably the dryness in the air. Exfoliating definitely helps keep the skin smooth.

      Thanks for stopping by!

Although I do not wear full foundation every day (I like to give my skin a break when I can) I often find it a challenge to choose a foundation that will give me full coverage when I need it. As a bit of an eco warrior, I love the sound of the Inika certified organic liquid foundation that has many skin benefiting ingredients, such as turmeric to fight inflammation and brighten skin, bamboo silica to strengthen skin for a radiant complexion and many more.

It would be interesting to know where I can order this Inika foundation in  Australia.

    • Sariyah

Hey Line thanks for stopping by!

As for inikas availability, you’ll be happy to know inika is an Australian brand so there’s plenty full! You can order directly from their website as well as other retailers!

      Have a great day!

I agree; the best way to care for our skin is to drink lots and lots of water and keep it hydrated.

And when applying foundation and makeup, the number one rule is to use a good moisturizer and a primer first. I think this is one of the most common mistakes many women make. ☺

Back to your review of the foundations for dry skin, among the brands you mentioned, I only tried Nyx. I’ve been using this brand for a couple of months and so far I have nothing bad to say about it. I agree with your assessment; it’s quite long-lasting and easy and smooth to apply.

But I am open to trying out other brands as long as they are hypoallergenic. I might try Charlotte Tilbury flawless airbrush foundation.

Thanks for sharing your recommended full-coverage foundations for dry skin.
