What is brow lamination?

You’ve either seen or heard the term brow lamination quite a few times here and there especially on social media like instagram! So exactly what is brow lamination? And how long does it last or what is the process?

If you have any of these questions floating around in your head then you are at the right spot my friends! Continue reading to find out!

What is brow lamination?

What is brow laminationBrow lamination is a process using a chemical solution to aim for a lift up effect. This beauty process helps restructure your brow hair so that they are all facing in one direction, straight and facing upwards. You can say it is similar to a perm but for brows instead!

Brow lamination gives an impression of thicker brows by covering the thin or sparse areas. Usually the first step involves grooming and straightening the hair and then a solution is applied which keeps the hair fixed in the straight position.

Sometimes brow laminations in my opinion give the impression of a feathered look or like wings with their soft tapered effect.

How long does a brow lamination last?

A brow lamination typically lasts from 4-7 weeks but can last for up to 8 weeks. This is all dependent on how well-kept your brows are or the brow growth cycle. Your brows return to their original form after that time.

As for how long the whole process is, well that isn’t long at all, between 15 – 20 minutes of a painless process. With that being said if you require further treatment such as waxing or tinting then you could be relaxing in the salon for a total of 30-40 minutes! Basically under an hour!

Pros and cons of brow lamination
