What is the best way to remove makeup-Do you know them!

There are many many options available out there to help you get all that make up and dirt off easily. So what is the best way to remove makeup exactly? Well that choice is yours!

I know the amount of makeup removers that there are will probably confuse you over which to choose, more so if you aren’t sure in what you prefer but hey that’s partly why I decided to create this article, so you are able to hopefully understand the various benefits of each one of them as well as what they are. So don’t worry! What is the best way to remove makeup

Some are more suitable for certain skin types then others for example if you have sensitive skin then in this case you will need to search for gentle removers and may prefer gels or miceller water.

Enough of the rambling, let’s start!

Makeup remover wipes

First up makeup wipes, I think they are and mostly people agree the fastest, most easiest and travel friendly makeup remover product.

You don’t need any other elements such as water or towels, just get rid of blush, mascara, foundation whatever in a swipe. Great especially for those nights when you just can’t be bothered to stand over the sink and do the whole removal routine.

Usually these wipes are available in a biodegradable option but just check to be sure on the packaging.

Wipes are usually suitable for most skin types. They are available sometimes with extra benefits such as moisturizing or cleansing and a bunch of healthy ingredients.

Miceller water

Miceller water has tiny molecules that help pull away dirt and oil.

Miceller water are great if you have sensitive skin (or anyone) as they aren’t drying and don’t strip away natural oils. This also means stubborn or heavy makeup won’t be effectively removed or may require extra work so isn’t best used on its own for this reason.

It’s fine if you are using it as a secondary remover, maybe just before a more stronger type of makeup remover product.

This type of product often requires a cotton disc, tissue or other cloths on hand to help you do the job. You would usually need to soak what you are going to wipe with and then keep it in place on the skin before wiping off.

Micellers do tend to last long depending on how often and how much is being used.

Oil based makeup remover

The oil helps dissolve the makeup therefore making it easier to wipe off.

This option is really effective for people who wear heavy makeup, it eliminates even the most stubborn beauty products, whether they are waterproof or long wearing.

Due to the oiliness this product can be great for those with dry to combination skin. If you have oily skin there are liquid oil free options out there too!

When purchasing beauty items with oil make sure you go for the grease free option unless you want to look like a shiny new polished ball! But usually your skin should be left with a nice healthy glow.

Milky remover

The milky remover is named due to its milk like texture and consistency which is typically not so watery but still considered a liquid. They come in bottles or other bulkier packaging, which means they do take quite a bit of space and weight in that case.

Milky removers tend to not require cloths or pads but water, yes. You would need to massage the remover into the skin and then rinse it off.

Milk removers aren’t so harsh therefore much less likely to strip natural oils. They can be great for sensitive or dry skin. You can buy removers with healthy ingredients such as cool cucumbers , rose, hydrating formulas and many more.

Makeup remover gel

Makeup remover gels leave a cool and soothing feel behind after gently but effectively removing makeup by gliding it off.

Gel removers are too suitable for sensitive skin as they don’t require harsh rubbing thanks to the gels thick consistency. So if you have stubborn waterproof makeup product that is hard to remove and you don’t want to be ripping your skin then gels are your friend.

With a makeup removing gel you will need a cloth to wipe the gel and makeup, that’s about it. Gels are commonly infused with natural cooling ingredients such as aloe and cucumber.

Natural oils

Did you know you could use natural oils to remove makeup? Because I didn’t before but when I did learn of it, I decided to give it a go and the results were comparable to the usual cleansers and makeup removers!

Natural oils are just great for everyone and anyone! They naturally carry many skin benefitting goodnesses. What is the best way to remove makeup

You could use oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba, sweet almond and the list goes on.

When deciding which oil to use you should take what type of skin you have into consideration, for example if you already have quite an oily skin it’s best to leave coconut oil out as it tends to clog pores up where as jojoba oil is the best and popular choice for many skin types.

Removing makeup using natural oils involves pouring a small amount of oil onto cotton pad or tissue and then gently massaging onto the face until makeup has been eliminated! MUUAHHHAA!

Oh and make sure to wash your face afterwards using whatever you like or maybe a cleanser.

So hopefully for those of you beauties who came here a little clueless have now learnt a few new things!
